DepEd – Compostela Valley Division

Graduation Message

My profound congratulations to the graduates and completers of School Year 2017-2018!

This year’s end of school rites theme, “Mag-aaral ng K to 12: Handa sa Hamon ng Buhay (K to 12 Learners: Ready to Face Life’s Challenges)”, epitomizes the entirety of the Department of Education and of the country to produce life-long learners imbued with skills and attitudes that prepare the youth for work, entrepreneurship, skills development and higher education.

Today, you make history. The whole DepEd jubilates with your parents, guardians, friends and other stakeholders for finishing the race, It must be difficult to contain the excitement and euphoria, as well as the hopes and worries that graduation brings but we need to recognize that these remind you of the life you leave behind and transport you to a new world with great opportunities that surround you as first graduates of K to 12 Basic Education Program.

It is our utmost dream that every one of you will succeed. We just hope that your years of stay in your Alma Mater have honed you to have holistic growth and authentic success. May you see that these successes are not solely measured on economy but coupled with a deep sense of respect for life.

Formal education in school should be your guiding star on your journey. Your teachers, classmates, schoolmates, parents, the experiences in and out of the classrooms prepare you to adapt and move on. You must remember that you will not become part of this occasion if your mentors deemed that you are unprepared to face life. Bear in mind that you have untold strengths and resources that you will soon discover as you come face to face with life’s battles, and from these, either you win or lose, you shall discover your magnificent self.

To the education champions - our active partners who are committed to education and learning, we thank you enough for the continued and strengthened efforts. This year’s graduation proves that we have painstakingly hurdled another year of better investment for their future.

To the heroes of today, our educators, my salute for your forbearance to the ongoing transformation, gaps determination and supplication for the efficiency and effectivity of alternative plans; for your belief and heart of the processes of learning, for continually instilling in our millennial learners that there are no “one-shot takes all” personal growth and maturation. Truly, you have liberated our learners to be who we want them to be.

What spectacle can be more enriching than seeing the fruits of our collaboration that the graduates hold on to their diplomas and/or national certifications! These harvests attest the ongoing mutual and surest support we have for education and for our future. This convergence would prove that we have prepared them to be the best and that they are more than ready to face the challenges of tomorrow. We don’t have power to predict what will happen in the future. However, you should remember that what you will become in the future lies not on fate, dear graduates, but on the decisions that each of you will make. Be the precursors of hope and catalysts of change.

Congratulations and God bless you all!!!
